Damien Paul Daniel

I am a London based Director of Photography who has been working in the industry for 25 years. I have worked on feature films, television programmes, documentaries, commercials and corporate films.

I love collaborating with directors to create something truly memorable on screen. I get a great buzz from the shared creativity that comes from working with the entire team.

As well as my work on feature films and HETV, with directors such as Asif Kapadia and Kevin McDonald, I have shot for many commercial clients including: Strongbow, TUI, Rolex, Marks & Spencer, Land Rover Jaguar, Lastminute.com and Elite Models.

I shot the 2022 BAFTA winning short documentary film ‘The Black Cop’, and the BBC documentary ‘SALT’ which won the Grierson Award for best arts film also in 2022. The feature documentaries ‘Geoff Hurst: The First & Only’ & ‘Against the Tides’ are currently showing on the Sky Docs channel.

On the narrative side ‘Kirkmoore’ a comedy single featuring an all disabled cast is currently showing on the BBC and ‘Mo <3 Kyra’ a coming of age short shot for Film 4 screened at The 2023 London Film Festival.
